785-strong Ford Mustang Vapor of 1965 will come to SEMA 2016

At the annual tuning exhibition SEMA, which will take place this month, the public will be able to see a lot of interesting cars, one of which will decorate the stand of Eaton. This is 785-horsepower Ford Mustang, released in 1965, which is now known under the name Vapor. The company Roadster Shop was working on the car’s restoration.

In the engine compartment of Ford Mustang Vapor there is 8-cylinder power unit Edelbrock E-Force Coyote, which will receive low-profile supercharger Eaton with a four-bladed rotor TVS and a compression ratio of 9.5: 1. Test of the car on a stand with the use of premium petrol showed the result of 785 hp and 894 Nm of maximum torque.

Dynamic characteristics unfortunately, were not disclosed. It is interesting that the construction of the unique Vapor took two years and the model already belongs to the collector from Southern California. The car received restored chassis, upgraded suspension, new wiring and it was painted in classic gray color.
