Ford: preferences of Europeans

Europe is a very diverse continent; it is noticeable in many areas, including trends in buying cars. When it comes to cars, each country has their own preferences. Ford made a list of the differences between the 22 European countries, based on the study entitled “Ford Car Buying Trends in 2014.”

The survey revealed some surprising facts. For example, residents of tropical countries of Europe such as Spain, Greece and Italy than all buy cars with hatch. Surprisingly, these machines are in great demand in the cold Norway (15 percent) and France (11 percent) and Germany (10 percent).

When it comes to body – a five-door hatchback is the most popular. Half of Ford buyers choose exactly it. About 35 percent of Europeans prefer generalists and 15 percent choose the sedan. Car petrol versions were selected 58th percent of European consumers, 41 percent preferred the diesel, and only 1 percent – alternative fuels. Finally, the vast majority of European consumers chose Ford manual transmission (85 percent), with the largest number of fans in the Netherlands (96 percent).
