Ford Focus ST – European Hatchback Leader

The results of the quarter on sales of “charged” hatchbacks for the European market were very assuring for the Ford company, thus the fans can be quite happy right from the start. Leader in this segment was named the Ford Focus ST with 44% of the market share. The total number of cars sold of this model from the American manufacturer was 1984 units. In addition to the common European indicators, this model has become the market leader in the following countries: Denmark, Norway, Great Britain, Finland, Hungary, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Thus fans can find friends all over the world.

Sales of Ford Focus ST started last summer and until now there were sold only 3819 cars. Five-door modification was 74% of sales, and the wagon model – 26%. The greatest number of the colors of vehicles sold were white – 41% black – 28% and orange – 17%.

Second place in the ranking for the fourth quarter of last year was taken by the Volkswagen Golf GTI of the previous generation, which accounted for 33% of this market segment. The three leaders also located the competitor Renault Megane RS with 12% of the market share. Thus the Ford company can be proud with beating one of the biggest competitors they have.
