2018 Ford Mustang GT350 will get extended body color palette

According to preliminary information the world will see new Ford Mustang GT350 not earlier then 2018. The model will not get the changes introduced with the Mustang’s mid-cycle update. Mustang 6G will be embodied in Shelby Mustang GT350 of 2018 model year, but unfortunately, no change compared with the outgoing model should be expected. According to the official document, the upgrades include new body colors and nothing else. Recently the car brand dealers started taking orders for the car; they will keep receiving applications until 27 February 2017.

At the present time we don’t know much details, but on the basis of data obtained from the dealer’s internal ordering system, it is believed that the new color palette will include orange (Orange Fury) and gray (Lead Foot Gray) shades. Those who expected dual-clutch transmission will be disappointed; it will not be presented in the coming model year. However, early reports indicated that the model will receive DCT before 2019 model year, so may be face-lifted model will be equipped with DCT.

As for the original Ford Mustang, it will lose the 3.7-liter 6-cylinder engine and will get 10-speed automatic transmission. Debut of the novelty should take place at the Detroit Auto Show, but the manufacturer keeps the details in secret.
