New Ford S-Max Is Promised to Be Equipped with the Sliding Doors

Autoexpress car magazine of the winter edition, citing its own sources at Ford, told us and its readers that the American Ford brand is planning to significantly modify the design of their minivan. It is expected that Ford is going to build a new generation of S-Max minivans in the image of a recent newcomer – compact B-Max. This means that the American car manufacturer intends to deprive the pillar for the installation of sliding rear doors like in Easy Access System.

However, the final decision on the matter is not known to the 100% yet, even though we have got this information from the official sources, things simply can change over the short period of time. Manual Ford is currently collecting opinions about the sliding door like in B-Max, and depending on their responses it will be decided – whether they will be equipped with the new S-Max or not.

Recall that the world premiere of the Ford B-Max in March this year at the Motor Show in Geneva. This model was first used for doors like Easy Access. This design allows you to create a doorway width of about five feet, which is two times more than can offer the competitive models. In this pillar, according to engineers, have been transferred from the body directly to the doors themselves.
