Supercar Ford GT Set a World Record for the Maximum Speed

Tuning of the supercar Ford GT, prepared by the American studio called the Performance Power Racing, set a new Guinness World Record for the maximum speed reached at the end of one mile (1.6 kilometers) in length launch. The car clocked up 283.232 miles per hour (453.17 kilometers per hour). This is without doubt a great moment for many sides, the fans, the tuning specialists, the Ford company itself. Critics say, that the popularity of the brand will rise.

Ford’s’ eight-cylinder engine with the capacity of 5.4 liters, received two additional turbines and intercooler, thus it was boosted from 550 to 1,700 horsepower, and many elements of the design of the car were replaced with lighter aluminum counterparts. Races are held on the runway at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Earlier, another twin-turbo version of the supercar Ford GT, which was finalized in Texas studio Hennessey Performance, clocked at a distance of one mile to 263.3 miles per hour (421.3 kilometers per hour). Power of the engine of the car was brought up to 1000 horsepower. From zero to 96 kilometers per hour tuning supercar can accelerate in 2.8 seconds. The distance of a quarter of a mile (402 meters), the machine passes for 10.6 seconds, and its speed is 227 kilometers per hour.
