Ford has shown the world the first pictures and gave information about the new model, which has the name of the B-Max. At the Geneva International Motor Show in March last year, the public has viewed this compact van. The new car is made on the basis of “Fiesta”, but it has an unusual design of the rear side – sliding doors with no B-pillar. This is a complete repetition of what have been constructed as the concept car of this model, which was introduced a year ago at the Motor Show in Switzerland.

Neither of the rival firms has released such a decision on their cars. Ford has officially stated that the absence of a central pillar in any way will not give the influences on the safety and rigidity of the body, as “own front doors are integrated into the design”. Also, representatives of Ford said that compact van B-Max will have a large amount of luggage the most compared to other competitors. For example, the Opel Meriva’s volume compartments with raised back row seats is 397 liters, and when folded – 1496 liters.
